About the Owner

Hi!!  My name is Kim Nater.  I have lived here in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado, since I was born.  Growing up, I always loved special occasions and parties—for Christmas and other holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations…  it was always very important in my family to celebrate together.  Then as I grew older, I became involved in many different activities:  a sorority in college; church, including small groups and choir; and karaoke.  In addition, after college I enjoyed an over 15-year career in teaching; mostly preschool, with some elementary.  Besides the early education field, I have also held jobs in food service, retail, a large call center, and the office at a roofing company.

Teaching allowed me to use my enthusiasm for celebration, and bring it into the classroom and schools I worked in.  Working with parents, other staff, and places in the community, I planned and had many parties and other activities with the children—birthdays, holidays (including those of different cultures to help my students learn about them), field trips, and preschool graduation.  I even did some birthday parties professionally when I worked at Mountain Center Preschool, as well as assisted parents with birthday parties outside of school.  During this time I also was getting into leadership in my church, selected initially to be part of the general leadership of my first group, then moving on to the roles of Host and Assistant Leader for my small group.  Along with the other leaders, we planned all of the different aspects of meetings, social events, and retreats—from schedules to food to activities.

From that time till the present, it has been my joy to participate and help as my friends and family members have gotten married, had milestone birthdays, had babies and many other moments over the years.  I also had the opportunity to take a class with local Master Event Planner Ms. Nora Tripp, where she shared invaluable information and resources from her many years in the field.  All these things allowed me to learn and hone my entertaining skills for many different styles of weddings and parties, in many different locations.  I have seen that successful and memorable events can come together with the right magic, at any place and with any budget.  Now, I have decided to take my experience and gifts and use them to bring that magic and happiness to everyone’s special times, by helping take the stress out of the planning and process and making your visions and dreams for the most important events in your life come true!!
